Card Purse

Wow...I am really liking this card purse pattern that I found over at Splitcoaststampers.  What a great gift!  I have been making them like crazy, as they are so quick and easy to make.  I added 6 fairly simple cards with envelopes inside.  I am keeping the cards on the simple side so that they don't require extra postage to mail.  I think card makers are the only ones that don't mind paying a little extra to mail our cards...You know what I mean?!!  Non-crafters don't always understand us.

The directions are very easy to follow and I even added a coordinating jumbo paper clip.

EDIT: I reshot the photos and they are much better!

Here are the cards.  Sorry that the picture is so yellow!  You can see by the first photo that the cards really are not yellow at all.

I hope you have a great day and YIKES...it's only 15 days 'til Christmas!

CCAYR December

Oh my!  How can it be December already??!!  It was a very busy last few days with Thanksgiving falling right at the end of the month.  Lots of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes & gravy, cranberry salad, corn pudding, homemade rolls and some really yummy pies.  It was all good...the food, the company and the weather!  Here is the card I came up with for the CCAYR December Challenge.

The challenge was to use a 1 word sentiment, 2 embellishements and 3 layers.  The yummy DP is the Christmas Mint collection by SEI, Cocoa Clusters.  I love the brown, red, green. white and silver combo.  Snowflakes always catch my eye.  I used the sentiment from See-D's Happy Birthday set.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment is brown ink on a piece of red cardstock.  A piece of white cardstock with one scalloped edge was place under the red strip.  The silver snowflake is by Imaginisce and the red one is by Stampin' UP.  I layered them and attached to the card with a brad.  That would be 1 embellishment and the 2nd is my brown button added on top of the snowflakes.  I chose to keep the card rather simple and show off the yummy DP.

Stop over and check out all the wonderful designs using the new challenge for December at the CCAYR Blog and maybe you will get inspired to start or finish your holiday cards.

I hope you have a wonderful December and enjoy every day of the holiday season!
