TSB Spring Fever Blog Hop

We, the TSB Design Team are hosting a "Spring Fever" blog hop this month! We're all sick of the snow and would love a little sunshine and flowers to pop in so we decided to bring them on ourselves! And bring it we did!

You'll have to make sure you hop to every design team blog. Make sure you post on EACH blog post for TSB to be eligible for the prize, our 4 new spring images (They are so cute and you will be seeing them along the way).

You will need to start at Amanda's blog (http://www.colouringourworld.blogspot.com/) and work your way through the group! At the Stamping Boutique, there will be an Inlinkz where you can post your comment after you have completed hop! From this list, the winner will be chosen randomly!
The hop will run from February 19th 12AM EST and you will have until February 20th 6PM EST. After that time, the comments will be tallied and the winner will be randomly picked.

You should have arrived at my blog from Miranda's.

The Design Team used a sketch this month for our creations. And here is my take on the sketch!

Here is my card using the TSB image, "Flower Cart".   This image makes me think of lots of sunshine, flowers in bloom and I can almost smell the fresh Spring breeze blowing.  What is it about gingham that reminds me of Spring?  I hope my card gives you some Spring inspiration.  I am keeping this short and sweet today, but if you have any questions, please let me know.

Next stop is Rhonda.

Here is a list of the Blog Hop order just in case you got lost.

Delightful Inspiration's Progressive Challenge

Free Image : Applique Tree
(free if you played along last week or you can find it here)

Here is my card using the image, Applique Tree.

I love this new image and the possibilities are endless.  I could resist, but to paper piece this image and make it look like a real appliqued picture.  I used lots of different patterned papers to make it all come together.  I added some little yellow punched flowers to the tree to make it look like spring blooms on a tree.  The bird is popped up with some tiny foam dots.  I used my rectangle nestabilities to make the brown frame.  Not sure what I was going to do with this card, so I decided on a "Thank You" sentiment.

You might want to go over to the Designed2Delight's store and check out all the new "Spring" images that Faith has added.  She's been quite busy lately!!  They are so cute and you will be seeing more of them here real soon.  I can't seem to color fast enough.

Squares

The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring the challenge this week over at Creative Craft World.  The theme is squares.

Here is my square card using the TSB's image "Audrey with a heart"

I guess I kind of went with a polka dot theme, too.  After printing, coloring and die cutting the image, I sponged some lavender ink around the edges with the die cut still attached.

Sorry that I have been MIA the last few days.  I have been sick and when you are taking medication that knocks you out, it is hard to create.  Hopefully, I am on the mend now.

Happy late Valentine's Day to all my blog friends!  It's not one of my favorite holidays.  Why should you have to pay 3 times as much for flowers one day a year??  I would rather be treated with love and surprises all the other 364 days of the year and skip Valentine's Day.

Other Challenges:
The Paper Shelter - Buttons and Bows
Cupcake Craft - I {heart} You

Recipe:
Card stock - White
Patterned Paper - Trick or Treat Polka Dots (The Paper Studio)
Image: Audrey with a Heart (The Stamping Boutique)
Misc - Copics, Square and Scalloped Square die cuts, Slot punch (SU!), Silver pearls, Ribbon, Button, Floss

Birthday Wishes

I did this card for a combination of a lot of challenges.  Whimsie Doodles is doing a Red & White Challenge and Sweet Sketch Wednesday is the sketch I used for this card.  This is my FREE Whimsy Doodles image that I chose this week when I won a "guess the new images" contest.  How sweet is "Flowers for Leah"??  Cute girl image and flowers, too....that's my style!!  I printed, colored and cut out the image.  I love the red gingham paper and the embossed white panel.  I am a little embarassed to say that this is the first time that I have used the flower die cut and it is probably one of the first ones that I bought a few years back.  I hope you like my card and it gives you some inspiration.

Other Challenges:
Whimsie Doodles - Red & White
Gingerloft - The Colour Red
One Stitch at a Time - Make it Pretty

Glossy Accents make his cute little nose shine.

Wonderful Friend

Delightful Inspirations Freebie Friday
________________________________

It's Friday and that means there is a new FREE image over at Delightful Inspirations, if you played along this last week.  I hope you did...what is better than FREE?  If not, you can pick it up here.

Here is my card using the new image "Spring Kaela".  I absolutely adore the Kaela images that Faith creates.  She is so sweet and so innocent.  I always have a fun time coloring these images with girly colors.  I rounded the right side corners and tried to coordinate the coloring of the images with the colors in the patterned paper.  I don't always do that and sometimes it makes it difficult to match the image with a coordinating paper.  A little bow, a couple of flowers and a button finish off this card.  Note to self...need to get busy crocheting some more flowers.

Challenges:
Mark's Finest Papers - Self Made Flowers

Recipe:
Card stock: white & pink
Patterned Paper:  Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl (K & Co)
Image:  Spring Kaela (D2D)
Stamp: Round & Round Set (PTI), Black Ink
Coloring: Copics
Misc:  Oval die cuts, Ribbon, Prima flower, Crocheted flower, Button, Floss and Foam tape.

I hope you play along with us at Delightful Inspirations!

Baby Shower Card & Gift Bag

I was invited to a baby shower a while back and decided to make a matching card and gift bag.  I typed the sentiment on the computer and used it as my main image.  I cut the sentiment out with a rectangle die cut and layered it with various sized rectangles and a scalloped rectangle. The heart was stamped with brown ink and it is a stamp set by Studio G (Series 24).   I cut a card panel just a little smaller than the card base and embossed it with the Polka Dots Embossing folder.  I added the cut out heart and a button on top.  Pretty quick and easy card.

Here is the matching gift bag...

The gift bag is one I picked up at WalMart for altering.  The sentiment matches the card.

**Tip for the day...I have a notebook that I keep various quotes that I come across that I think would be useful on a card.  I refer to it often.  It's also FREE to make your own sentiment on the computer.

I have to tell you...my Valentine Mojo is deminishing.

Glittery Love

I hope you like all the glittery goodness on this heart.  I used the heart image from Sending My Love Kaela by D2D.  I have found that if you use Crystal Effect or Glossy Accent as your glue, the glitter stay on so much better.  I colored my image, cut it out and then added the Glossy Accents and Diamond Dust (SU!).  I stamped my image directly on the patterned paper.  The heart is added with foam tape.  One more Valentine Card down.

Recipe:
Card stock:  White and black
Patterned paper: The Way Love Goes (Daisy Bucket)
Image:  Sending My Love Kaela (D2D)
Stamp: Love (Hampton Arts), black ink
Misc:  Diamond Dust glitter (SU!), Copic markers, silver pearls.

I {heart} U Card and Gift

(2 Sister's weekly challenge is one post down)

Use "Be Mine Bear" or "Puppy Love" image
and create a card and matching gift

This is my card using the "Be Mine Bear" image by D2D.  This was a fun challenge and I am really quite ready for Valentine's Day with all the cards and little gifts that I have been making.  I think this is the first time that I am actually ready for a holiday and not scrambling around at the last minute looking for a little gift.

Here is my matching gift:

I used the same image and colored it the same way to match my card.  The heart has a little pocket to hold a little treat, a gift card or maybe a love note to that special someone.  Once again, I had a lot of fun creating with this challenge.  I added a ribbon for hanging the heart.

Recipe:
Cardstock:  white and red
Patterned paper:  Ka-Zoo Collection (K & Co.)
Image: Be Mine Bear (D2D)
Stamp: Love2Hug (The Stamps of Life)
Misc: Heart and Oval die cuts (Spellbinders), Ribbon, Arrow punch (SU!), White doily, Heart stickers (Jolees) and foam tape.

Come and play along with us this week with the chance to win some D2D digital images.  You are allowed to use an image of your choice.

Love You to Stitches & CPS 100

Here is a card I made using the D2D image, "Love You to Stitches".  I used the CPS sketch 100 for the layout.  I started by printing and coloring my image.  Cut it out and layered with brown cardstock and then a scalloped red layer.  The patterned paper that I used was Autumn Amber (flowers) by DCWV and Love in Bloom (stripes) by My Mind's Eye.  I added some brown grograin ribbon, a brown crocheted flower and a red button.

JOY

It's February 1st and that means a new challenge for

Red and/or Pink and dimension.

I went with red and dimension.  The patterned paper is Candy Cane Stripe by The Paper Company.  The glittery JOY sticker are by Color Bok and I found it at Target before Christmas.  I love all the glitter goodness and the little gemstones.  I just attached the letters to a die cut rectangle that was layer with a scalloped layer.  The whole panel was attached to the patterned paper and card base with foam tape.  This has to be one of the quickest cards that I have ever made.  I kept it simple because of all the detail on the letters and I wanted to make "JOY" the focal point of the card.

OK...now go over to the CCAYR Blog and check out all the other wonderful designs posted by the Design Team.  Play along...You must created 5 Christmas cards (they can all be the same or 5 different designs) using the challenge posted above.  You have all month, but the sooner the better and just think...you will have 5 Christmas cards already made for this year!

Thanks for stopping by today!
