Bullfrogs and Butterflies

It's Friday and  that means a new Progressive Challenge Freebie from Delightful Inspiration by D2D.  It's another cute one, "Bullfrogs and Butterflies".  A very versatile image that could be used for birthday, thank you, thinking of you, Mother's Day and for so many more different occasions.  It comes with 3 different sentiments and some flowers, too.

I colored up my images with Copic markers.  I used some patterned paper from the Summer Song Stack by My Mind's Eye, highlighting the orange with a deep edge punch by Martha Stewart.  I added some buttons and brads to the center of the flowers and a big pink bow finished off my "Springy" card.

If you didn't play along with us last week at Delightful Inspirations and would love to have this image, you can find it here.  Check out more designs over at Card Ideas.

Happy Birthday With All of My Heart

Today is the day that Mabelle from Whimsy & Stars Studio is releasing one of her new digi designs, "With All Of My Heart" and it is now available for purchase in her Etsy shop.  It's the perfect image for Mother's Day.

Easter Basket Boy Bunny

*****This is my 3rd post for today...keep scrolling down to see all of them*****

I had to make a "boy" bunny card using the, "Easter Basket Bunny" image by Whimsy & Stars (Mabelle R.O.), as I have a new grandson on the way soon.  Even though he won't be here by Easter, he still needs a cute little Easter card and some goodies.  The patterned paper is Yellow Gingham (Hobby Lobby) and I use the Polka Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder for the center strip with some zig zag trim.  Cute image and very quick to color.  I am becoming addicted to the layered buttons and this card is no exception.  I hope that I am giving you some inspiration for your Easter projects.

This is card #2 using the "Springtime Bunny Basket" image by Whimsy & Stars (Mabelle R.O.).  I went pink on this card with just some touches of purple.  I did everything else exactly like the previous post, but changed the DP to Pink Gingham (Hobby Lobby).  I hope you like the pink version, too!

Springtime Purple Basket Bunny

A cute little 5" square card using the adorable, "Springtime Basket Bunny" image by Whimsy & Stars (Mabelle R.O.).  I need two of these, one for each of my adorable granddaughters.  I did the first one in purple with just some touches of pink.  I used the Bloom Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background and some circle dies for the center.  The patterned paper is Trick or Treat Polka Dots (Hobby Lobby).  I am hooked on the big polka dot grograin ribbon in purple with a crocheted flower that was layered with 2 buttons.  The bunny was colored up with Copic and cut out and adhered with foam tape.  Just a cute little Easter card for a cute little girl!

Garden Party Birthday Wishes

It's Thursday and it's Progressive Challenge Image Preview Day for Delightful Inspiration at Card Ideas
This is the next image, "Garden Party" that will be emailed to those who participate in the current FREE Stamp of the Month Artist's Challenge. This is not available in the store yet, but will be emailed to those who participate in this week's challenge. You still have 24 hours to join us, and then you too, can receive this for free!

This was a really fun and happy image to color.  You can get an entirely different look by changing up the colors of the flowers.  I went with yellows and oranges...they are my happy colors.  I purposely printed this image just a little bit bigger than I normally would.  I wanted the whole focus of the card to be on the cute image.  The patterned paper is from DCWV's Citrus Stack.  I love all the yummy yellows, greens, blues and oranges in that stack.  The sentiment is from the Wow Flowers stamp set by SU!.  I added some chunky glitter to the cupcake icing to make it look like it was sprinkled with some chunky sugar.  I, also added Glossy Accents to the centers of the flowers, the cherry on top of the cupcake and the bee's wings.

If you didn't play along with us last week and still want to nab this image, it can be found here on Friday.

Happy Easter Basket Bunny

Today's card features the digi, Easter Basket Bunny by Whimsy & Stars Studio.  What a cute and sweet little bunny!!  I seem to be on a polka dot kick lately and can't seem to stay away from using polka dots on all my designs.  I chose this pattern paper (Lt Polka on Cream by The Paper Studio) because it reminded me of Easter.  Lots of fun colors plus brown for some yummy chocolate Easter treats.  I colored my bunny and used oval die cuts to layer and added the sentiment made on the computer.  I love the pink polka dot silk ribbon...it's so pink and so luscious looking.  I added a double layer of buttons to the bow.

Ladybug Bloom

Today's card is featuring the D2D image, Ladybug Bloom.  I kept the card clean and simple due to all the detail on the image.  It's hard to tell by the photo, but the center of the flower, the leaves and the ladybugs wings are all popped up with foam tape for dimension.  The red bottom layer is embossed with the Polka Dot Cuttlebug folder.   I added a black button the has a thin red polka dot ribbon tied through the holes to the center of the flower.  There are mini green brads on the leaves.  Lots of dimension added to this card.  So cute and ladybugs always remind me of warmer weather.  I hope it's warming up where you are.  We had a tease over the weekend, but back to the 50's, but sunny :) today.

There are more great designs using the Ladybug Blooms image over at Card Ideas.

Less is More - A Touch of Red
Make it Colourful - Colour with Bright Colours
