Here is my take on the sketch...


 It's an All American birthday card!  I needed a July birthday and and being so close to the 4th of July, I went with a red, white and blue theme.  I made my own pinwheel out of a square piece of DP.  It's really easy to do, too!  It started out as a tag and I decided to turn it into a birthday card.

Recipe:
Stamps -Three Thoughts (SU!)
Paper - Red Gingham (The Paper Studio), Patriotic Blue Stars (Recollections)
Coloring/Ink - Black ink
Misc - Happy Birthday embossing folder (Provo Craft), Scallop edge punch, 1 1/4" & 3/4" circle punches (SU!), white lrg brad, red eyelet, ribbon.

Buzzin' By with Thanks

Here is another one of the new D2D June digi's, "Buzzin' By".


I am working on my Clean & Simple style and it's hard for me to not add more stuff.    I seem to turn to polka dot DP quite often and this is no exception. Right now Hobby Lobby has a good selection of mini polka dot DP is assorted colors. I colored the digi with my Copics and the sentiment is from The Stamps of Life, "Thanks4one year".  I followed a few challenges: DRS Designs (Flower Theme), Fab 'n' Funky (Polka dots) and Digi Makeover Challenge (Things with Wings).


 Here you can see that I added foam dimensionals to the image to pop it up.

Designed2Delight June Reveal/Blog Hop

It's the 20th of June already and we are ready with a new set of digi's from Designed2Delight.  Some fun summery images!  First of all I want to let you know that our Design Team has expanded and we have added some really fun and inspirational friends to our Designed2Delight Design Team.  We are doing things just a little bit different this month. I have the whole list of participants at the bottom of this post. As well as the link to a contest to win some images and the link for the sale prices of the new images!
On to my card...

"Loving Thoughts Bouquet"

These flowers remind me of Zinnias and I couldn't resist coloring them orange.  Just a simple card, using an adorable flower image, "Loving Thoughts Bouquet".  I punched the corner of the DP (Citrus Stack by DCWV) with my SU!, Ticket Punch.  The sentiment is a really old stamp that I don't remember who makes it.  It came as a set of sentiments and I have since lost the original packaging.  I used various circle dies and embossed the center white one with my Swiss Dots embossing folder (Provo Craft).  I colored my image, fussy cut it out and attached with some foam dimensionals.  I added some mini black brads to the center of each flower.  There you have it...Happy Hopping!

Friendship Bird

 I had so much fun with this digi from Designed2Delight and making this card.  It does make my heart happy when I look at it.  The sentiment from SU! was absolutely perfect!  I added a little sparkle to the flowers with a Stardust gel pen.

Happy Birthday...

I Stamped!!!  Not a lot, but I did stamp.  I have an upcoming birthday at work and needed a birthday card.  It started with the DP, Summer Song Stack from My Mind's Eye and I ran with it from there. My favorite colors, oranges, yellows and greens.  Since it's a birthday card, I wanted the sentiment to be the main focus.  I really like the finished product on this one.

Coloring - Black & green ink

Puppy Hello


I am loving this cute image from D2D.  What's not to love about a cute puppy???  This is actually a gender friendly card and could go to a girl or a guy.  The flower is not too foo fooey and the brown color makes it a little more masculine.  I cut the sentiment into a little flag and attached it to the layered flower.  It's a very brown card!
