Whoo...

Another one of Faith's adorable Whipper Snapper designs.  I am really liking the red, brown and green color combo and need to remember to use this combo again.  I always think of Christmas with red and green, but when I added in the brown, it was just what I was looking for.  I found the felt leaves in the Fall section at Hobby Lobby.  They came in 3 different colors per package and are really thick.  Not having any "Owl" sentiments, I created my own on the computer.  I used my much loved "Leaves" EF and a piece of Faith's Homespun Christmas DP, Red Plaid.

Recipe:
Stamps - Whoo Loves You (Whipper Snapper)
Paper - Red Plaid (D2D)
Coloring - Copics
Misc - Leaves EF (The Paper Studio), Rectangle die cuts (Spellbinders), felt leave, button, floss, corner round punch (EK Success)

Happy Tuesday to You!

Birthday Mouse

Good Saturday Morning...

I am the host for the Saturday Challenge today at Delightful Inspiration.

Be a "Die Cut Diva" and get out all those die cuts that you just had to have and get busy creating.  Use at least 2 die cuts and the more the merrier!  If you don't own any die cuts, you can use punches.  Share your creations with us!

This is a great image and includes a girl and a boy mouse plus some sentiments, too!  After coloring, I tried to use as many die cuts as possible.  I ended up using 2 squares, 1 lacey square and 3 circles.  I am never at a lack for using die cuts.  I use my on almost every creation, so I guess you could say that I do get my money's worth out of mine.  I added some chunky glitter to the cupcake icing and popped up the little party hat.  I colored and added red glitter to the number 3.  A great little birthday card for a little boy that is turning 3 tomorrow.

Here is a view of the inside:

**I have a hint for you...I buy most of my embellishments in white or clear and color them to match with my Copics.  I colored the thick white number three with my red marker and then added the glitter.

Recipe:
Stamps - Cupcake Mouse (D2D), Happy2BeCircles (The Stamps of Life). Birthday Greetings (SU!)
Coloring - Copics
Paper - Celebration Stack (DCWV)
Misc - Squares, Lacey Squares, Circles dies (Spellbinders), Black Ink, Glitter (MS), Foam Sticker (EK

Congrats to Lottie (http://lottieluvslilac.blogspot.com/)for winning  the $3 Gift Certificate to the Designed2Delight Shop on my D2D/Whipper Snapper Blop Hop post.

A big THANK YOU to everyone that visited for all the sweet comments.

Moving from Halloween to Birthday fun...

I couldn't resist working with this sweet cupcake image.  Cupcakes and buttons?...now that is what I call SWEEEET!  Each cute cupcake is topped with a button that I added Glossy accents to create a little shine.  I added some Stardust Glitter pen to the swirls and candle flame for some sparkle.  Faith created a special pack of papers to go with her designs for Whipper Snapper.  I used the purple gingham DP to match my purple and pink cupcakes. I used the birthday EF for the background the cupcakes are place on. A pretty pink crocheted flower and a purple button center accent the white grograin bow.  This is a card for someone special!

Autumn Harvest

Be sure and stop back by on Monday.  The D2D design team is having a blog hop showcasing Faith's new Whipper Snapper Fall/Winter Designs.  There will be lots of digi's to be given away!

I am absolutely loving this new digi from Designed2Delight!  I have so many ideas for using it running through my mind.  It's a great Autumn image!  I tried something new...I have had this canvas paper for some time now and wanting to use it.  I printed the image directly onto the canvas paper which I attached to a piece of card stock.  I wasn't really sure if it would work or not in my printer, but yea!!..it worked great!  I just used my Copics to color the image.  Then again, not sure about coloring with Copics on the canvas, but yep...it worked just fine.  I generated my own sentiment to fit inside the tiny tag punch and attached it with an orange brad.  I just trimmed the image to fit in a frame and there you go...a decor piece for Autumn.  I give it 2 thumbs up for printing and coloring on canvas :)

I will be doing a tutorial on printing and coloring on Canvas later in the week.

Recipe:
Stamps - Autumn Harvest (D2D)
Paper - Canvas (The Paper Studio)
Coloring - Copics

Here is a cute Halloween image from Designed2Delight.  Having 2 granddaughters, I will be using this image for their Halloween cards and I am now one card ahead.  If I could only remember to get them in the mail on time.  Fun image to color and since it is a busy image, I decided to keep the rest of the card simple.  Just a little embossing, a computer generated sentiment, some brads and 3 Circle punches.  I did add some glitter gel ink to the star, the crown and the bubbles in the cauldron.  Of course, some chunky glitter around the star.

Magical Wishes

Here is what started out as a Halloween card and ended up being a Birthday card for a special little boy.  That seems to happen quite frequently with me.  I used the "Abracadabra" image by Designed2Delight...reminds me of Harry Potter.  I used a Stardust glitter gel pen and some chunky glitter to the wand swirls to make it look magical.  I kept is pretty simple for a boy card.  No fancy ruffles, bows or jewels. For some reason I have the song, Do you Believe in Magic running through my head right now.

Fall Leaves

Today I am using an older Designed2Delight digi, Fall Leaves.  This is one of my all time favorites.  Of course, how could it not be since I absolutely love Fall!  I can't believe that it has been a almost a year since I was selected to be a member of the D2D design team.  It has been a pleasure and honor to work with Faith's designs.  I added some Spica pen glitter to the veins in each leaf.  Kind of gives them some sparkle.

Recipe:
Stamps - Fall Leaves (D2D), Autumn Harvest (TPC Studio)
Paper - Fall Stripe (The Paper Studio), Amber Autumn (DCWV)
Coloring - Copics
Misc - Circle, Long Rectangle dies (Spellbinders), Picket Fence punch (MS), Stardust gel pen (Spica), Leaves embossing folder (The Paper Studio), Leaf sticker

Before I go, be sure and check out the freebie for today at D2D.  If you played last week, you received it for free today in your inbox, but if you didn't and want to play along this week you can get it here.  I am warning you...you will want this fall image...

It's a busy kind of day and I need to run, but I will be back with the recipe for my card and more.

Happy Friday!

Happy Anniversary

Today's Theme:  Anniversary or Wedding

Here is my creation:

Perfect digi for an Anniversary card...flowers and some hearts, too!  I am a coloring first, then pick out the DP kind of girl.  Living life on the edge :)...LOL.  Luckily, I was able to find some DP that coordinated with my colored image.  It's hard to tell in the photo, but I added Glossy Accents to the center of each flower.  I couldn't resist adding 2 puffy hearts to the sentiment and a big red polka dot bow.

Recipe:
Stamps - Fresh Cut (D2D), Round and Round (PTI)
Paper - Citrus Stack (DCWV), Spook Tacular (K & Co.)
Coloring - Copics
Misc - Oval and Long rectangle die cuts (Spellbinders), Glossy Accents, ribbon, Puffy heart stickers (EK Success)
