What a fun and funky image to color.  I am liking all the spots and the variety of flowers.  I would never tired of a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers in my home.  Something about flowers that makes me happy.   I colored the image and layered it, sewed it and added some pearls to the corners.  I used the Itty Bitty Girl stack by K & Co.  I finished the card off with a big, lavender polka dot bow.

Go here to check out some more of the DT and our guest designer, Dee's cards using this image.  Don't forget to stop by Delightful Inspiration on Friday and pick up your FREE image.

Happy Easter

**It's Spring Break and it's going to be hit and miss on my blog this week...I am playing with my Granddaughter's all week.  I will be back in full swing next week.**

Theme: Spring

I used The Stamping Boutique's "Bunny Egg" image for the Spring Challenge at Stamp With Fun.  This was a fun, happy image to color in some great spring colors.  I used patterned paper from K & Co, Brenda Walton's Small Wonders Girl paper pad.  I added some liquid pearls to the scalloped border below the sheer ribbon.  WOW...I love Liquid Pearls and will be using them again and again!!!  The sentiment was created on the computer and I added a couple of white pearls that I colored with my Copics to make them the right color of green.  The felt flower is something that I picked up last year right after Easter at Michael's on clearance.

Hop on over to Stamp With Fun and take a look at the wonderful DT cards.  Play along and you could win some TSB images.

Easter Egg Holders

Sponsor: Crafty Pad
Theme: Furry Friends

The 2 Sisters DT was given the images, "Bunny 2 and Bunny 3" by Crafty Pad to create with.  When I saw the images, my mind immediately envisioned some sort of holder for plastic Easter eggs.  They would make great little place setting decor for your Easter dinner table and you can add some little treats to the eggs.

Here is what I came up with:

I started with some card stock and measured the eggs to see how long the strip of card stock needed to be.  These are made with the large plastic eggs that I found at Hobby Lobby.  An 8.5" strip gives you a little extra to work with.  The holder is 2" tall.  I punched one long edge with the Apron Lace punch and a combination of polka dot and striped patterned paper.  It's hard to see since the bunnies take up most of the front.  The bunnies were quick and easy to color, cut out and attach to the egg holders.  The one tip that I do have for you is to use a really strong tape (Red Line or Scor Tape) to keep everything together and I even used it to attach the bunnies.

I can't wait to see all your Furry Friend creations that you come up with!

Challenges:
A Gem of a Challenge - Anything but Square
Secret Crafter - Anything but a Card

Let's Party

Don't forget that today is the day (Friday) for a new challenge image over at Delightful Inspiration.

You can see my card made with the "Caught a Bug" set here.

I am using a new D2D image, Drew and his Cupcake.  He is the boy version of Kaela.  I love him...I have 3 boys (one named Andrew) and 1 grandson on the way.  Enough chit chat...here is my card featuring Drew.

I colored Drew up with my Copics and used a circle die cut to cut him out and layer.  I used lots of paper and accessories from The Celebration Stack by DCWV.  I am loving all the new paper stack that DCWV have out now.  It great to get a stack of paper that you can mix and match and even comes with some accessory pieces.  I used a numbers embossing folder to emboss some green card stock.  I added the ribbon and the big yellow button.  The "Let's Party" ticket was part of the paper stack.

It's preview day for the new Friday Challenge image for Delightful Inspirations.  You can check out lots of ideas using this image today at Card Ideas.  It will be your "Freebie" if you played along with us this week.

************************************

This is the new image that will be released tomorrow at D2D, "Caught a Bug".  It's an adorable set that comes with lots of different images and some sentiments, too.  I went red, white and black since I was working with ladybugs.  The black polka dots paper is from Making Memories and the red embossed paper is from the Amber Autumn Paper Stack from DCWV.  I love the combo of the two papers together.  I added some Glossy Accents to the ladybug's wings.

Now...something that I don't do very often, but should...I finished the inside of the card.

Both of the sentiments that I used on the inside and outside are part of the set.

Sweet Molly's Cupcake

I absolutely adore this image, "Molly's Cupcake" by Mabelle at Whimsy and Stars Studio, and couldn't resist making another card using a different color combo.  When I saw all the bright and cheery patterned papers in the Citrus Stack by DCWV, I knew it would be the perfect combo for Molly and her Cupcake.   I colored up the image with my copics and then added Glossy Accents to the middle of the flower and the cherry on the cupcake.  I used two different patterned papers from the Citrus Stack.  After die cutting the circle and adding the image, I stamped the sentiment (The Stamps of Life) and added lots of blue brads.  A little polka dot bow with a felt flower and button were the finishing touch.

You can check out more of Mabelle's images here.  I am telling you...they are all adorable!!

Happy St. Patty's Day

Challenge #2
Theme: A Sketch and Green

Here is my card based on the sketch and using the color green.

I am using the TSB's image,  Audrey Irish.  She looks so festive and ready to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  I printed, colored and cut out Audrey with a circle die cut and layered it with a Big Scallops die cut.  I left the circle die cut on the image and sponged some green ink around the edge.  The Patterned paper is from the Celebration Stack by DCWV.  Awesome collection of papers.  If you have a JoAnn's close by all the DCWV papers packs are on sale right now.  I added some green polka dot ribbon with a bow and rounded the right side corners of the card.  The sentiment was generated on the computer and was embellished with a crocheted flower that was layers with 2 green buttons.  The shamrock is an image from D2D's Wee Bit and Lots O' Luck set.  that was covered with glitter.  Oh my...green glitter everywhere...guess I really am ready for St. Patrick's Day with all the green glitter on ME!!

Stop on over at The Stamping Boutique and play along with us.

Grocery List Pad

**This is my second post for today**

Today we are introducing a new challenge: ABC (Anything But a Card): The sky is the limit as long as it isn’t a card. This is also our Christmas/Winter challenge, so try to create a gift project that you can give at Christmas or in the winter. (just think you will be one gift ahead come December!)

I made a grocery list pad...or a honey-do list pad or for just about anything you want to use it for.  Very easy and simple to make.  I buy that small legal pads at Staples (when they are on sale) and get them cut in half.  All you have to do it measure the width and the length of your pad from the back bottom to the front part that overhangs.  Cut and score and add to the pad with some type of strong adhesive.  I used Scor-Tape.  Measure the top front and add a piece of patterned paper.  Then decorate as desired.  I added the D2D image, "Apple Harvest" because I was making a grocery list pad.  You can add a magnet to the back and then it will attach to your refrigerator.  I keep one on the front of my refrigerator at all times to have a continual list going of things I need to get the next time I go to the store.  You could make a few of these and tie them together with some cute ribbon and give them as a gift for any occasion or even stocking stuffers.  Who can't use a cute paper pad?

Hop on over to the Card-Ideas blog and check out all the other great gift ideas.  Play along with us and you could win some D2D digi's of your choice.

Lots O' Luck

Here is one of the new image from D2D, "Wee Bit & Lots of Luck" .  It is a set that comes with lots of different images.  I used the "Lots of Luck"...hence lots of shamrocks in the jar, one of the sentiments and a shamrock.  I colored the shamrocks with a combination of Copics and colored pencils/OMS.  This seems to be my coloring technique lately.  The patterned paper is from The Guy Stack by DCWV.  Perfect plaid for St. Patrick's Day.  I used an Argyle embossing folder that is edged with a Zig Zag Chain punch and added a green gemstone to the center of the shamrock on the sentiment.  Actually....this is a little hint...use your Copics to color a clear gemstone the color of your choice.  Instead of buying every color of gemstone, just buy the clear ones and color them!!

Go on over to the D2D Store and check out all the great new Spring images.  Stop by the D2D's Card-Ideas Blog for some great designs.

Get Well Angel

Here is a sneak peak at the next "freebie" image at Delightful Inspirations on Friday.  You have until late tonight to get last Friday's image "Lucky Duck" and play along with us and then you will receive, Angel Caroline for FREE.

Such a sweet angel.  Once again, Faith out does herself and creates another adorable image.  I printed and colored the image with my Copics and cut it out with  oval die cuts.  Caroline's wings are sprinkled with some chunky glitter to give them some sparkle.  I used patterned paper from the Citrus Stack by DCWV.  Love the sunny, luscious colors.  I added a little bit of lace with an Eyelet Lace punch.  I used one of my crocheted flowers that matched the orange perfectly.  I need to get busy making some more flowers, as I am running low.  The sentiment is a Hero Arts set and framed with a Labels One die cut that was trimmed down.  I hope this card puts you in a sunny mood.

Just want to say, thank you to all of you who visit my blog on a regular basis and leave me lots of sweet love.  I love being able to share my designs with you and hopefully I give you some inspiration.

Spring Garden Chickie

Here is my first card being on the guest design team for Whimsy and Stars Studio.  I chose this darling image, Spring Garden Chickie to design with.

It's so cute, Springy and so me!!  I printed and colored up the image with my Copic markers, added some sparkle with my Stardust gel pen.  The patterned paper is Nana's Kids collection by DCWV.  I used the Eyelet Lace Punch by Martha Stewart to make a border at the bottom and added lots of pearls.  Pearls, Easter and Springtime seem to all go together.  I used some white grograin ribbon to make a big, fluffy bow and added the butterfly for the perfect touch.  Just a hint...the butterfly was originally white and I wanted it to stand out against the white ribbon, so I colored it with one of my Copic markers.  This card and image makes me happy!  Stop on over at the Whimsy and Stars Studio and check out some of the other guest designers work and Mabelle's adorable images.
