Warmest Holiday Wishes

Warmest Holiday Wishes to you and yours!

Here is my mailable 2012 Christmas Card.  I used a Penny Black Snowman stamp that I have had for quite some time, but is still available for purchase.  The sentiment is from Stampendous and I found it some time ago at Hobby Lobby.  Since my card needed to be mail friendly plus easy to mass produce, I kept it simple.  I started by stamping my design on Kraft cardstock and then added some color with Copic markers and a white colored pencil.  The snowflakes and fringe on the scarf have Spica glitter pen added for some sparkle.  It's hard to take a photo of cards with glittery goodness.  I added 2 mini black brads for the buttons and a MS snowflake punch.  The center of the snowflake is a small punched red circle with Glossy Accents added to  make it look like a brad.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to all of my stamping friends!

More Glittery Ornaments

  "A" for Amelia

"C" for Claire

I have been having fun making lots of the glitter ornaments.  These are for my 2 granddaughters.  I give all my Grandchildren an ornament every year for Christmas.  I added a gemstone initial to each ornament.  I found the initials at Hobby Lobby, but I am sure most craft stores carry something similiar.  I added some ribbon to the hanger and they were ready to be shipped off to Texas.

Hope you are finishing up all those last minute holiday gifts, shopping and wrapping.

Santa Ornament

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas and I've been quite busy.  This is one of my latest projects.  So quick and so easy and I absolutely love the glittery goodness without glitter everywhere.  I used the Pledge Floor Wax/Glitter technique with a clear ornament.  It was so easy!  I added a ribbon and belt buckle for Santa's belt and some assorted ribbon to embellish the hanger!

Santa Gift Card Holder

Oh yes, it's time to put my latest addiction, Pinterest to work.  I always like to have a cute holder for my gift cards and I took inspiration from all the Santa designs out there on Pinterest and various blogs to put together this Santa Gift Card Holder.

I started with some red card stock, adding a white scalloped piece and some black brads.  The belt is a piece of ribbon and the belt buckle was cut out using the 2 smallest square dies from Spellbinders.  The glittery gold paper came from Hobby Lobby.

The inside piece that holds the gift card is just a piece of red cardstock that has the corners rounded and a couple of slot punches in the bottom to help hold the gift card.  I added a black eyelet and some ribbon to the top.

Here is the set side by side.

I have fallen in love with the color combo of red and gray.  What an adorable snowman that Faith has created!  Once again, I used the snowflakes embossing folder from The Paper Studio on the red panel.  The Gray Polka Dot paper is from Recollections and has become on of my favorite DP's.  After coloring my image with Copics, I drug out and dust off my liquid pearls and added a little dimension to the small snowflakes. The snowflake punch is from MS.  The sentiment stamp is from Studio G.

I added a gray border (Upper Crest Border punch by Fiskars)to the bottomThe sunshine, which was colored with a couple of yellow Copic markers, is popped up with foam dimensionals. It reminds me of the song, You are my Sunshine... It's a clean and Simple card that was quick and easy to put together.

Whee!

Another new October digi from Designed 2 Delight.

Whee!  Reminds me of the midwest winters that I enjoyed while raising my childrenTobogganing was a frequent winter activity.  I used a new embossing folder, Snowflakes from The Paper Studio.  The DP is quite old and I have had the stitched ribbon for some time.  I stamped the sentiment (Holiday Cheer Messages by Hero Arts) in black ink and embossed it.  The snowflake is something that was picked up during the holidays past with a red gemstone added to the center.  The was a fun and quick digi to color.

Happy Fall

It's a great Autumn image from Whimsie Doodles.  I don't have many "boy" images and this one is a perfect addition to my collection.  It's hard to tell in the photo that the top brown panel is embossed with a leaf embossing folder.  The DP is from DCWV.  I added a felt stitched ribbon that has been in my stash for a while and a big wooden button. The sentiment is an Amuse stamp that was stamped in brown ink and embossed.  There you have it, wet and dry embossing on one card!

Celebrate You

I made a birthday card for one of my co-workers who celebrated her birthday this week.

There is very little stamping on this card.  It's mostly DP and card stock.  I absolutely love this DP from SU!  It's part of the Good Morning Sunshine collection (retired) and I am about to use it all up.  The stamp, "Celebrate You" is from Stampabilities.  I used the Swiss Dots and Bloom Dots embossing folders from Provo Craft.  The card stock leaf is from K & Co.  The finishing touch is the gemstones added to the flower centers.  Perfect Birthday card for an October birthday!  The colors remind me of Autumn.
