How can it possibly be December 1st? Well, it is and that means a new challenge over at Christmas Cards All Year Round. This month's challenge is to make a card with a Santa image or the word Santa on it. Easy, peasy right? Ummm....yes, once I chose the right image to work with. Here is my card...
This is a digital freebie that I pick up over at Paper Threads by Shirley Clark. He is just a really cute Santa image. I think this will make a great card for one of my granddaughters. I might have to make another one. I started by printing and coloring the image, adding lots of glitter to his beard and mustache and lots of flocking to his hat trim. I used my Big Rectangular Scallop die cut to layer the image. I found some sparkly red ribbon in my stash and used that to make a bow and added a jingle bell to Santa's hat. I generated the sentiment on the computer and cut it into a banner flag and added a black button. The DP is Candy Cane Stripe by The Paper Studio.
Go check out all the other designs by the CCAYR Design Team and hopefully you will be inspired to make a Santa card or 5 to be entered into a RAK for a stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by!
